Quick Gifts

We just celebrated Mother's Day. Many colleges and high schools are completing their year with graduations and the wedding season is approaching. Here are a couple of quick gifts for any of these occasions.
I started with a two glass items I saved for upcycling. The large jar is from a favorite pasta sauce and the wine glass, well I have to admit, I bought at a thrift store for 49 cents just so I could make something cute with it. They started like this.
Let's start with the cute wineglass. The steps for this are so quick and easy. Cut/emboss your favorite border, making sure that it is long enough.
Place a strip of red line adhesive around the glass. Pull off red adhesive covering and add the border. You may need to trim it.
Embellish the jar and add some silk flowers or a candle.
Now for the sauce jar. Trim a piece of card stock (Here is Ice Gold) to fit the proportions of your jar. This one is 4x12 inches. Choose a stencil to create a background and using a Copic marker and airbrush system, spray over the stencil.

Using red line tape again, adhere the strip around the bottle and embellish!
This jar is good for holding lots of things. Imagine it full of candy, buttons or a favorite craft supply. Fill it with water and add a few fresh cut flowers. I'm sure they will behave since the jar says "bloom."
So as the spring continues, enjoy all the special celebrations with just a little creativity. Cheers, Eli
