29 again?

I love square cards, and I'm so happy that this month's special is square enevelopes!  Square cards are easy to make, especially from 12 x 12 paper, as I've done on this card, using Basis Olive cardstock.

29 Again Square Birthday Card

Supplies:
12 x 12 Basis Olive cardstock, cut to 6" x 12".
8 1/2 x 11 Pop Tones Hot Fudge cardstock, for matting
Patterned paper (I used Victory by Close to My Heart)
Timber Brown ink by Memento
Navigator Stamp set by Raisin Boat
Markers by Copic
Hemp and Corrugated cardstock embellishment by Close to My Heart

After Cutting the cardstock into a 6" x 12" piece, score to create a 6" x 6" card.  Adhere 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" patterned paper to card front, centered.

Next, stamp the GPS image from the stamp set on Curious Metallic Cryogen White cardstock and trim.  Stamp sentiment on a scrap of the same cardstock, and trim.  Mat sentiment to a scrap of Hot Fudge cardstock.  Adhere to lower right side of card.

Grab a handful of Copic Markers and color to your heart's content.  I really like the Curious Metallic Cryogen White cardstock for Copics, it gives such a nice, subtle sparkle to any project!

Viola!  Then, I stamped the directional arrow image onto a scrap of Cryogen White, cut it out, and adhered over the arrow on  the GPS until with foam tape.

Finally, I matted the GPS unit onto Hot Fudge cardstock and adhered to the front of the card.  As a finishing touch, I inked the corrugated cardboard arrow with the Timber Brown ink, wrapped some hemp around the end, and adhered to the card front using foam tape.

Super easy and fun for someone who's 29 again...

Happy Stamping!

Katherine
