Celebrate the Change of Seasons!

Depending where you are in the world, you may be enjoying a change of seasons.  One of my favorite changes is when the leaves turn to warm orange and reds.  I can't help but think of spiced cider and pumpkin scones when I see Fall foliage!
Here is a simple card I created that incorporates those colors into a seasonal card.  For this card, I dug out my old trusty Stamp-a-Ma-Jig to help with alignment since I am using an older wood blocked stamp.  The blended color of the Spectrum pad makes my job super easy with blending the ink colors.
Fall Invitation Stamping Tutorial

Supplies:
Neenah Teton Deckle edge cardstock in Warm White
Spectrum stamp pad in fall tones
Stamp a Ma Jig (or other stamp positioning system)
wide tree stamp
coordinating ribbon
paper cutting / scoring tool
Neenah Teton cardstock makes a beautiful Fall card!
 Steps:
I cut my Neenah cardstock into two pieces so that my finished card would measure 4.25 x 11.  I scored it in half along the long edge.
I prepared my stamp positioner by aligning the upper left corner of the clear acrylic sheet into the corner nook of the handle.
I stamped my image, making sure it fits snugly into the corner of the handle.  This creates a guide for me to use to decide where I want my image on the card.  (It's a bit easier to see if you use black ink for this step... I was just lazy and didn't want to clean my stamp before I used it again on my card.)

I placed the acrylic sheet where I wanted my image on my card.  Then I realigned my handle to match up in the corner snugly.  Then simply removed the acrylic sheet and stamped my image by matching the corner of the block with the corner of the handle.

To add a little detail to this simple card, I scored a line on top and bottom of the image to frame it a bit.  Then tied on some ribbon and that's it.... Simple and Seasonal!
Now's a good time to stock up on Neenah products.... they are on sale.  And CutCardStock now offers $5 flat rate shipping for orders over $25 in the contiguous US!
