Retro inspired swing or flip-flop card |
Cut the base of your card from good kraft cardstock from CutCardstock.com. I used fun and funky patterned papers from Cosmo Cricket's Twenty Three mini deck, which comes in Paper Made Bakery's September Fresh Baked Kit. I chose two patterns and two sort of solid papers. The Silhouette die-cut will cut these pieces to exactly fit the card base, so it really is easy peasy, but if you don't have a Cameo, you can easily cut your patterned paper to size. You can even leave the side pieces (shown in red/pink here) off and simply stamp a nice pattern there.
When you 'pull' the edges of the card it swings open and on the backside of the piece with the dots and TV die-cut is this panel on the inside! I mounted a couple of the barely-patterned papers here, stamped the bold retro images from Lawn Fawn's Stayed Tuned clear stamp set, also included in the Fresh Baked Kit -- and voila, a groovy card is born! I think this one's great for a guy's birthday or congrats card, don't you?
Here's what the card looks like from above -- lots of neat angles.
Here's to a rockin' good weekend! Why not make a swing or flip-flop card then post a link to it here in the comment section below -- I'd love to stop by and take a look!!
