A Closer Look at Curious Metallic

With Curious Metallic cardstock on sale during the month of March, I thought I'd give you a closer look at this fabulous product!  For this post, I am using Curious Metallic, 92# cardstock in Galvanised.
It prints beautifully in my inkjet printer.  Here's a little sentiment you might want to add to a wedding or anniversary card, or perhaps you want to create your own wedding stationary...

Here, I stamped on the cardstock with a French script background stamp.  I used Archival Brilliance ink in Graphite Black.  It's gorgeous!  When stamping on metallic cardstock, I like to heat set my ink just because I am a little impatient and I don't want to smear it as it does take a little longer to dry.

Next, I'll show you dry embossing.  Wowzers!  I love how deep the impression takes in this cardstock.... it's absolutely stunning!  I used the Tropical Paisley embossing folder from Sizzix in my Big Shot.

Now, heat embossing with Versamark ink and a black embossing powder from Stampin' Up!.  I love how the shine from the embossing plays with the metallic cardstock.  I had no problem with extra dust on the cardstock, I didn't pre-treat the cardstock with any powders or other pre-embossing treatments.

This cardstock is so beautiful and versatile.  It fits the bill for everything from casual notecards to formal event invitations, and everything in between.  There are so many colors available and coordinating items, you're sure to find exactly what you need.

Stay tuned all month as our Design Team showcases how creatively this cardstock can be incorporated into all your projects!
