My Cup of Tea

A couple years ago I bought these darling tea tins to decorate. I made one about a year ago and decided it was time for another. I was ready for some spring colors so lavender and green became the focus of the piece.

Instructions
Trim the Pop Tone Sour Apple paper to 4x11" and stamp down the center with a background stamp that you like using Paris Dusk ink by Tsukineko.

Tear the edges of the strip and set aside.

I found a patterned paper that I wanted to use but I only had a 6x6" and 3x3" squares of it. I cut the large one into strips about 1-1/2" x 6" and used them to border the top and the bottom of the tin. The Mini Dot N' Go are perfect for applying the paper to the metal tin.
Next, trim the Basis Dark Purple card stock to cover the edges of the patterned paper.
Then add the stamped mat to the center.
Cover the lid with the smaller square of patterned paper, turn the lid onto the wrong side of the paper and trace around it.
Trim the circle and add it to the lid with a 24" piece of coordinating ribbon.
Tie a bow over the patterned paper but be sure to add Mini Glue Dots to the under side of the ribbon so it doesn't pop up.
Stamp "You are my cup of tea" or other sentiment onto Pop-Tones Grape Jelly paper. Die cut and emboss the tag, leaving space at the top to add a bow using the White Organza Ribbon. Add some white chalk ink from the Zig Chalk Pastel Writer in white around the tag and add it to the tin. Add some doodles to the Basis Dark Purple. (I drew hearts on the bottom and dots to the top.)
Now, just add your favorite loose tea or tea bags and give it to a good friend. What a lovely, personal gift. I think I'll send mine over to a friend with a loaf of quick bread. Yummy!
