Mini Album Tutorial with Lizzie

Lizzie here with a great way to use up your A7 Envies in a way you might not have thought of.
If you are like me (please say there are a few crazy, weird crafters out there!) then you buy a few extra things when you create a project.  Because of your fear of messing up, you tend to have lots of mismatched items in your craft stash.  Here is a fun tutorial on how to turn all those extra envies into a fun mini album!

You are gonna want to round up a few things first to make the our mini album base.
Assortment of envelopes (My main pieces are A7 sized, with a few A2's)
Piercing Tool
Score Board
Needle and Thread
First score each of your envies at 1/4 of an inch.  Once you have them scored, fold them back and forth to give them a little give.
Make sure to straighten up your stack in the order and position you wish for your album.
Next, get your piercing tool and poke thru at the middle of your stack of envies.  (Please ignore my horrible manny... I got a little nervous while watching The Walking Dead and my nail polish didn't stand a chance).
A good tip is to make sure you really put that piercing tool all the through your stack.  As far as it will let you!  It will help when sewing up your sides as well as making sure a nice hole is in each piece.
Do this two more times.  I like to mark my top and bottom holes about 1/2 an inch inward.  This is a personal choice, but you can more then further or closer to the middle if you with.
Now this is where it gets a tad tricky.  Please follow the arrows and numbers closely in the next photo.  This is how we are sewing up our album!
When you tie off your album, tie it up TIGHT!  The tighter the knot, the better.  That way you don't have wonky and floppy pages in your album.
Once you have your album tied off, the FUN part comes!  Decorate!!  Here is what I did with my Envie Album.  A BFF album about my daughter and her BFF/Cousin Mia.

I actually have a few pages left over for when the girls go on adventures this spring and summer.  Lily has already called 'dibs' on this album so that means I need to create another one for Mia.
I hope you learned a fun way to use up some of your envie stash and I hope even more that you share what you create!

    1. Hi lorri! I'm glad you enjoyed the tute. The 4th step is right above the number 5 and says exit here. That hole is one that you go thru twice but in different directions. Hope that helps!
