I gathered my supplies:
Starting on a diagonal, I wrapped my No.2 in washi tape. I tried not to overlap the tape too much, but enough to give the pencil good coverage. At the end, I was left with a little over hang on both ends of the pencil, so I just sliced it off clean with my rotary cutter.
I used A1 flat cards as my notecard base, and cut the layering pieces to stack on top.
- A1 precut flat cards, sized 4 7/8 x 3 1/2
- Carmelized Mustard by Flavours Gourmet cut to 4 3/4 x 3 3/8
- Red Pepper by Classic Crest cut to 4 1/4 x 2 7/8
- school themed patterned paper cut to 4 1/8 x 2 3/4
I glued the A1 card and mustard layers, and then the red pepper and patterned layers together using the Mono multi adhesive.
A last minute additional of some black and white bakers twine was added before I attached the red/patterned paper layer using 3D foam tabs.
This little set of cards and the pencil will just be a thoughtful something for the teacher!
