Happy Spring!! The days are getting longer, the sun is warm, and the trees are starting to bud. What a great reason to celebrate with a sweet greeting and a gift card. Once you have a quality base of card stock from CutCardStock creating becomes fun and easy!
When I start a project I first pick out my color scheme. Here I chose the stunning Lime Green, and the Cryogen White from the
Curious Metallic along with
Basis Colored Card Stock in Navy Blue. Now that I have a foundation I can match a patterned paper to my color scheme.
I then chose to put a texture to one of my solids by using a dotted embossing sleeve to put depth to my project, using my trusty Cuttlebug. The texture really set off the sparkle of this awesome paper!
Layering is always my favorite part, this is where my card takes shape. The Curious Metallic is so pretty it really makes any project pop!
Once all my paper layers are assembled, I can now start to embellish my card. I am always on the look out for unique embellishment such as the one I used on this card. It's a gift card holder from Whole Foods and I simply covered up the company logo with ribbon and other embellishments.
