Dry Embossed and Ink Sponging with Classic Crest

Hello there! Kristie Larsen here to share with you another fun card for February. I couldn't get love off of my mind, so I created this little number. It doesn't necessarily have to be for Valentine's Day. You can just send a card of love ANY day! Let me show you what I did.

I started with some  Classic Linen Cardstock in Natural. It has this lovely creamy color and a subtle texture. I started by running it through my Cuttlebug with an embossing plate.

Afterward, I took these two different chalk inks and rubbed them over the dry embossing. I chose to do the teal color roughly on the square tiles and put the purple around everywhere else. You can see the finished panel here:

I then die cut my sentiment and washed over it with some different colours that matched my sponged panel. Watercoloring is so much fun!

I die cut 4 of the LOVE sentiments so I could stack them up for added dimension. I only watercolored the one sentiment for the top.

I trimmed my panel down and adhered it to a natural color pre-folded Cougar Invitation. Card making is SO easy when you have prefolded cards on hand. I love it! The store has lots of options for fast card making. Click on the link to check them out. So many colours to choose from! I then added some pearls for a nice finishing touch.

And there you have it! A lovely card using all sorts of fun techniques with some amazing CutCardStock.com products.

I am SO excited to be staying on for the next DT term for CutCardStock.com. I hope to have some fun creating with these amazing products and sharing with you too. Thanks for stopping by!
xoxo
