Folded Frame Card

Hello again, friends!  It's Mynn again here with another tutorial using some beautiful papers from the CutCardStock online store!  Today I'm sharing how to create a fun focal image that includes a folded frame.  To start, you'll need a 4.25" square piece of Basis Aqua Cardstock.

Take the piece of card and place it, corner up, at 3".  You will score the SIDE of the cardstock piece at 1" and 1.5".  Turn the card to the next corner and repeat.  Do this for all four corners.

After you've scored all four corners, it's time to fold them.  You will fold the longest line towards the center, then the shorter line outwards again.  I used 3D Double Sided Foam Tab Adhesive pieces to create more dimension as I folded the frame.

Once all four corners are folded and adhered, you can decorate the frame before adding it to your card base.  Here is used a punched piece of Muscletone Kraft Cardstock and some premade die cuts for my frame.

The finished frame was added to a card base made of Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock and more Muscletone Kraft Cardstock that had been dry embossed for added texture and interest.

I really love the way this card turned out!  These papers are the perfect colors and quality for a beautiful handmade card, don't you think?  Thanks for stopping by, all!  I'll be back next month with more tutorials on using more beautiful products from the CutCardStock online store.  Until then, HUGS and happy paper crafting!
