Leaf Frame

Hello!  Lisa here with you today and with some of the leaves changing on the trees out my window I'm excited to share my project for today.  I love the different colors Fall brings us here in Ohio, and the various colors of Card Stock I used from the Basis Card Stock Sample Pack and I decided to add a touch of shine with the Curious Metallic Card Stock in Mandarin this frame was a cinch to make!  Here are some step by step photos on how to create your own leaf frame...

First you will need to select the colors you want to work with, and find a sturdy piece of cardboard (mine came from old packaging).  I chose to work with the Basis Card Stock Sample Pack ( did you know you can create your own sample pack? Score!) Dark Red, Brown, Gold, and Golden Green, as well as the Curious Metallic Card Stock in Mandarin.  You will then need to either hand cut leaves out, or use various dies as I have done below...

Once you have all of your leaves cut out you may want to cover your cardboard with a brown or gold paint.  I used various spray mists and chose to rub some of the gold mist onto my leaves for added shimmer...

Adhere your photo to the center of your board and begin gluing your leaves around your photo, making sure to have them overlap.  Tombow Multi Mono Liquid Glue is perfect for adhering your leaves and keeping them on.

Once all of the leaves are on and completely dried you may wish to add some ribbon for hanging purposes.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have an amazing day!
Happy Crafting!
Lisa
