Autumn Thank You Card

Hi there!  It's Annie here again with a quick and easy autumn thank you card made with some of the gorgeous colored cardstock from the Flavours Gourmet collection.

Start by cutting a standard A2 cardbase (5.5in x 4.25in) from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and score it down the center to make a side-folding card.  Then cut a piece of Thai Basil cardstock to 4.125in x 5.375in and a piece of Chestnut Creme cardstock to 4in x 5.25in to create your background layers.

Die-cut and emboss (or punch) your sunflowers from Caramelized Mustard, Thai Basil, and Moroccan Cocoa cardstocks and set aside.  Then create a flourished background layer by die-cutting or punching the shape from some Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock.  The "thanks" sentiment can be die-cut from Tangelo cardstock or stamped if you do not own this type of word die.

Place the flourished background layer back into the die and lightly sponge yellow ink around the edges to give the piece a subtle yellow glow with a clean white edge.  In addition, sponge orange ink around the perimeter of the sunflower shape to give your flowers a little added interest.

Glue the Chestnut Creme layer onto the Thai Basil layer with tape runner and then wrap a strip of gingham ribbon around this piece before adhering the panel to your Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardbase.  Then pop the flourished background layer up on top using foam tabs.

Glue the stem and sentiment to the card using Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.  Notice that I've removed one of the leaves where I will be placing a second sunflower.

Adhere your die-cut sunflower using foam tabs for a little extra dimension.  For a little extra color and embellishment, add coordinating sequins to the card with Tombow liquid glue.

I hope you enjoyed this project and thanks so much for stopping by today.  Be sure to visit the CutCardStock store to purchase any of the supplies showcased today...and remember that the Flavours Gourmet Cardstock is on sale this month!
