Hello CutCardStock.com friends and welcome back! It's Kristie Larsen here to share with you a very simple but very elegant wedding card. Here is my completed card.
I started with some Flavours Gourmet card stock in a light grey. I then embossed some flowers with white embossing powder. I started small, laying out the images one by one until I got a look that I wanted.
I purposely left it non-symetrical, because I think this added some modern elegance. I added a double layered sentiment using some vellum underneath some Flavours Gourmet dark blue. I love how it creates a nice shadow. I finished it off with some rain stones.
I think this is a great way to make up wedding cards as they happen through the year. Once you know the brides colours you can change the card base and sentiment colours to match. I think the embossing is a simple yet elegant way to make up a card. I have many friends who don't like a lot of layers on cards. It keeps it hand made yet modern and not too crafty. This card will suit many styles! And it comes together so fast. A great thing for when June comes around and so many people get hitched! One night in the craft room and you can make up a handful of them. Thats my kind of design!
And that's it today! Thanks so much for joining me and I hope you get a chance to hop over to the store to check out the last minute sales going on for the month of October. Get your hands on a few sample packs of Flavours Gourmet for all your wedding card making needs!
Until next time,
xoxo

This card is simply elegant. I see its purpose beyond weddings. What embossing folder did you use? -Deidra
ReplyDeleteDeidra, this was created with heat embossing using stamps and embossing powder rather than an embossing folder. Hope that helps!
