Gift Card Wallet with Flavour Gourmet

Hello there! Long time no see... well on my side anyway. I was down for the count with pneumonia AND moved house all in the same two week period. And let me just say, I was down for the count! But, I'm back up, my craft space is coming together nicely and I am breathing easier! Today I wanted to share with you a fun gift giving option this fall season. A little gift card wallet made with some Flavours Gourmet card stock.

I started with this beautiful dark blue and die cut the stitching holes for my wallet, as well as the pocket for the card holder. I scored down the middle where I would fold the card stock to make the wallet.
I then used a blade to cut the top of the pocket to create an opening.
In that opening I then punched just a half of a circle using a 3/4" circle punch. This helps getting that gift card in and out easy.
I then wanted to make this little gift card holder a thank you gift. So I die cut three sentiments. One out of my favorite gold glitter paper, and two using white card stock. I stuck them all together using Tombo Multi adhesive. Works great!

I glued the wallet together folding on the score line and then stitched around it all with some twine. I also added some watercolored die cut leaves and a bow. I love how this looks like a jean jacket. Goes great with the fall time theme!
And there you have it. A fun way to give a gift card. I had a ToysRUs card in my wallet, really wish it was an iTunes card ;) that would have made for a better photo and a better gift! But you fill it with whatever you wish for your recipient. I know they will love it!

Thanks for stopping in today. It's good to be back on my feet and with you all again. I have missed you!!
Check out the store. There are discounts on Flavours Gourmet going on right now! They are such beautiful colours for an array of projects. A must in the craft room.
