Camo Christmas Gift Tag

I don't know if it's because we live in Montana, or it's just natural for a lot of boys, but my guys LOVE camo. Camo anything. If I would let them go dressed in full camo to school each day, they would... and not be seen, therefore being marked absent. It's a slippery slope, people!

So when I can add a little unexpected camo into their lives, I'm a real hero. I've decided that I'm going to weave it into my holiday decor and gift wrapping this year. Maybe if there is an awesome tag, they won't be so disappointed when it's a new pair of pajamas or worse yet, underwear.

This project started out with a collection of cardstock, most of which is on sale right now. I used Pop-Tones Jelly Bean, Flavours Gourmet Thai Basil, Basis Olive, Basis Dark Red, Basis Black and Neenah Solar White (<--my all-time favorite white cardstock!)

I traced the die cuts I knew I was going to use so I would have a guide. I place my squiggly cut pieces to create an attempted random camo pattern.

I added another die cut circle and then topped it with a 3-layer stack of the deer silhouette punched out from the Basis dark red.

I created the banner sentiment by embossing with white on black cardstock. I added a bit of a white matte. It wasn't intentional, but it ended up looking like a badge or nametag. Really, wouldn't this be a great tag for a military member, too?

I hope you'll tap into your creativity this season and add little personal touches to your gifts! Thanks for stopping by --Amber
