A Winter Inspired Shaker Card

Hello!  Lisa here with you today, and I'm so excited to be able to share with you how I made my Snowflake Shaker Card out of Stardream Metallic Cardstock, and other goodies found in the CutCardStock.com Store.

To begin I chose the Stardream Metallic Vista (Blue) and the Crystal colors to work with, and only needed to pieces measuring 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

Next I diecut the front panel from the blue and trimmed a piece of acetate for the shaker element of my card.

I then used BBP Marathon Runner adhesive along the edges of the Vista diecut panel to adhere the acetate.  Next I added thin strips of double sided foam tape all along the outer border of the diecut and acetate panel making sure to leave no gaps.  Finally, I was able to add my snowflake sequin mix before removing the backing on the foam strips and adhering it all together with the trimmed Stardream Metallic Crystal Cardstock.

I then diecut a separate piece of Stardream Metallic Crystal Cardstock into a circle before stamping and embossing my sentiment in silver.  (It is good to note here that if you wish to stamp with ink onto the Stardream Metallic Cardstock you need to be aware that it will take longer than basic cardstock for your ink to dry, unless you use a Staz-On type ink or if you choose to emboss your inking as I have done here.)  To adhere my sentiment to the front of my shaker I used a piece of Silver Ribbon to lay across the front and adhere with Ultrathin Glue Dots.

I then adhered the entire thing to a Cougar 80 lb A - 2 Plain Folder, and ta-da!  My Winter inspired Shaker card is complete!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!
Lisa
