Envelope Gift Bag

Need a quick hostess thank you gift? Here is a quick way to turn an envelope into a gift bag, just right for a gift card to the hostess' favorite resturant.
I started with  a Flavours Gourmet Chestnut Cream A7 envelope.

I sealed it, then scored it 1" in on the top, bottom and one side. The other side I cut down to 7" creating on opening for the bag.

Then I folded the sides and bottom out.  The corner tabs I folded up towards the side of the bag.

Next I worked on flattening out the bag.  I folded the center crease into the envelope. The triangle tab is folded in towards the bottom of the envelope. The bottom of the bag is folded up. The top half of the bottom flap is folded down.

Then I cut a piece of Flavours Gourmet Chestnut Cream and used at large edge punch to create the handle. I glued on the first side then flipped it to over to attach the other handle matching the holes.

I heat embossed a piece of Flavours Gourmet Nutmeg with VersaMark Ink and clear embossing powered. I love the 2 tone look.
I cut a banner from Flavours Gourment Tanglo and Chestnut Cream. I used an embossing folder on the Tanglo paper and stamped Many Thanks on the Chestnut Cream. I added some lace and pearls.

To finish it off, I tied it together to brown and orange ribbons.

Now if I only had some place to go, so I can give this away.

Thanks for stopping by,
Lisa M.
