Father's Day--or any day--origami pocket book with inserts

So.  I have a confession to make.  I am, in fact, a loser.

You may remember the "All Aboard" book I was going to fill with tags and suchwhat.

Well, I can't find it.

So, I made another:
Those are cancelled stamps featuring lighthouses on the cover
This one is the same in construction, with a CutCardStock Basis Cardstock cover, text weight origami guts, and a vellum liner.  However, this guy got the chance to be finished off with plenty of various assorted cardstock inserts.

The Basis cardstock comes in tons of colors, and is the perfect weight for making some sturdy inserts, like this one for journaling.  The insert pocket pages are all covered with gel prints pulled on deli wrap paper.

The center section has a folder for photos, a travel themed tag, and a little bound book with pages for adding photos or writing.  This book is simply bound, in the same way as the larger book that holds it, only with folded papers instead of the vellum/pocket combo.  You can see how HERE.

The last pocket holds a little file folder, cut to fit inside the pocket, with rounded corners.  This would be perfect for a little photo or two.

You may be aware that mail art is nothing new--this is a photo of a mail art envelope created during WWII:
I feel like I'm doing well to get a rubber stamped image or two on an envelope, but an entire narrative  illustration?  That's at least a little wow, right?

I hope your Memorial Day was memorable.
