Today's card is made using some beautifully bright colors from the Pop Tones Cardstock line and the Basis Cardstock line.
Then I used some clear embossing powder and sprinkled it all over. Okay, it came out as a pour, not so much a sprinkle.
Then I used a clean, stiff, but small bristled brush to dust off as much excess embossing powder as I could.
And then used the heat gun to melt it all together. Doing this allows me to create a resist background to color all over!!
Then I used my distress inks and blender tools to color up the background.
It came out so pretty! I matted it on more 65# Pop Tones in Sweet Tooth White and then 65# Lemon Drop Yellow cardstocks.
I paired it with an orange base from the Basis Cardstock line, some 80# Basis Orange cardstock.
The last thing I did was add some yellow twine and tie a bow, and then stamp on (and emboss again, yay!) the sentiment. I wanted something bold and fun, but definitely something that matched the flowers in the background.
And just because it's so amazing to watch, here's a short clip of the embossing powder melting!
And the finished card. So happy, just love how it came out!
lovies, =o) kel
