Really Simple Hand Painted Cards

Do you have fall weather where you live?  I love the changing of the seasons, and fall is admittedly my favorite.  It's a time for reflection, thinking back on the year, and considering all the things I'm truly grateful for. This year, I'm making simple cards for my family and friends.

These started with some easy fall pumpkins and leaves in a wash of gouache paint (gouache is basically tempera paint in a watercolor type form), on a brown kraft cardstock.  Kraft cardstock is so versatile, you can use it for really any type of project.

I finished them off by outlining the painted figures and adding "thankful for you" in gel pen.  And CutCardStock has lots of sizes of kraft envelopes, great for a multitude of crafting projects!

ALL of the brown, orange, and gold cardstock is on sale at CutCardStock right now, just in time to stock up for all your fall season projects.  If you haven't already, be sure to sign up for the CutCardStock newsletter--that way you'll always know what's on sale, plus get some artistic inspiration delivered right to your inbox.
