Paper Flower Wreath

I'm so excited to be sharing my first post as a new Design Team member!

Do you have a favorite season? Mine is spring I'm so over winter I'm not really a fan of cold weather and snow. I'm just so excited for flowers to start blooming. I just checked on my tulip bulbs to see if they are peeking out of the ground yet. I was excited to see they are coming up but the rabbits have been enjoying a wonderful little treat they have eaten them all down to the ground.

Well since my flowers are not doing so good I thought I would make a wreath to hang inside to bring spring into the house.

To make the flowers on this wreath, I chose Curious Metallic cardstock in Violette and Ice Silver and Pop Tones cardstock in Pink Lemonade For the Leaves I used Curious Metallic in Botanic.

I love the little shimmer that the Curious Metallic cardstock has its hard to see in the pictures but in really life it is gorgeous.

I used a rose flower die to cut out my flowers because roses are my favorite. But you could use any die you like to make your paper flowers. I die cut all of the flower at once I find it relaxing to watch t.v. when making paper flowers. Then I used some tacky glue to make my flowers when I rolled them. Any glue or tape would work I just like this glue because it dries fast and I don't have lots of patience. I cut out a variety of different leafs with a  leaf die.

I purchased a inexpensive crochet hook to glue my flowers to for my wreath. I found it in the craft department near the needle point items. I played a little bit with the flower arrangement the first one I was not happy with and pulled all of my flowers off. I found it to work best to attach the flowers to the side of the hoop rather than the front. I also glued some flowers to other flowers.  I attached the flowers and leaves with a hot glue gun.

To finish off my wreath I attached some White ribbon to the top and tied a bow up on the top of the embroidery hoop.

Everytime I walk by my flower wreath I forget how cold it still is outside.

Don't forget Curious Metallic cardstock is on sale for March.

Thanks for stopping by today!
